Lord Viking & Princess Wanda

Wind, rain, sunshine. It’s all happening.

Lord Viking had an operation to remove a nasty wart from his head, so he is looking a bit beaten up at the moment. He had to spend a week indoors, which he didn’t like much. He is now getting his revenge by waking us up at 2am every day to be fed.

We are due a visit from Cyclone Vaianu tomorrow or sunday. Which is nice. Hopefully we will survive!

March is here. The temperatures are dropping. The children are snuggling more but also enjoying the nice days.

December and January were not without incident.

Lord Viking developed a huge abscess on his neck just before Christmas so there were many vet visits.

He was banned from going outdoors for weeks while we waited for the abscess to improve but it wasn’t healing. We managed to get through to the new year with another vet visit and another dose of antibiotics, and eventually things improved, Mrs Vet sewed up the wound and 2 weeks later you wouldn’t know he’d had half his neck hanging out. Can’t even see the scar.

On the downside, he’s now inured to using a dirt box again, so we are weaning him off it slowly. He’s going out more and more, getting back to his old ways. Perhaps a bit slower and less confident, but hopefully that will improve with time.

Meanwhile Princess Wandacakes has been fine, slightly less the center of attention than normal. But plenty of purrs.

Can’t believe the last post was back in August! It has got much warmer, what with it being Summer here in New Zealand. The children are enjoying the balmy weather. Time for a photo catchup!  Merry Christmas by the way.

Slightly warmer and less drippy outside, the children have been venturing forth more often, although their snoozing game is still strong. And the rabbit is AI generated!

The weather was wet but we have had a lovely run of sunny sun, which the children have been taking advantage of.

It was Wanda’s 13th birthday on Saturday. She’s the best girl!

Blimey, that went quickly! The kittens are enjoying the nice warm weather, although sometimes it’s a bit hot for them. Plenty of snoozing going on (well, what’s new?)
