I understand speed cancels out movement . Looking at the moon with binoculars on a tripod it’s surprising how quickly it moves across the field of veiw.
Yes. I also have a 12 inch reflector telescope (a massive unwieldy beast!) and it’s really difficult to track the moon as it moves so fast. It’s even a problem when tracking planets like Jupiter and Saturn.
In surprised at such high magnification the pictures were not effected by the earth rotating.

It was incredibly bright, and only a 1/640 shutter speed.

You would need an electric motor to follow the equatorial movement of the earth, that’s a big telescope .

Indeed. Such a mount would cost about 10 times what the scope cost I haven’t given up on the idea entirely yet, but….ouch.
