I bought a new camera for the trip. It’s a Nikon Coolpix P1000. It’s a bridge camera, half-way between a DSLR and a digital compact camera. I have a DSLR and a digital compact camera already but have never been able to be bothered by all the lens nonsense of the former, nor of the limitations of the latter. So we will see how this one goes.
