If this is the shape of things to come for our New Zealand Summer, perhaps 2020 hasn’t been a complete write-off after all.

Lord Viking and Princess Wandacakes are sheltering from the inclement weather.

A lovely morning in Auckland. Princess Wandacakes cleans her paw while Lord Viking eyes her with suspicion.

One from home. One from managed isolation. I hope to be out of the latter and back in the former tomorrow.

I have returned to New Zealand after a month in the UK. We have this managed isolation thing, whereby all returnees have to sit in a hotel for 2 weeks in quarantine.
The Pullman in Auckland is one of the nicer hotels. A gilded cage is still a cage, however.

Sitting in one of his favourite spots. The sun is getting weaker as we move towards Winter but there’s still some heat for him.

Horrifyingly beautiful and very descriptive of our modern times.
It’s the boy without his Donut Of Shame. He’s feeling much better now. We are still waiting for the biopsy results. Fingers crossed…

Poor Lord Viking has some ear issues and had to have a biopsy today. He doesn’t travel well in cars and to top it all he now has to wear a Donut Of Shame for a couple of days. To say he is not impressed is obvious from his poor little face.
Get well soon, Lord Viking!
