Horrifyingly beautiful and very descriptive of our modern times.

Antoine Baril Again
I posted about this chap a while back. He’s an amazing multi-instrumentalist who specialises in one-man instrumental tributes to some of the classic 70s bands. This time he has taken on one of my own favourite beat combos – Yes. This is pretty special. If you have 19 minutes to spare whilst in lockdown, it’s worth making the time.
Saint-Saens And His Organ
This is just legendary, and from my adopted home town. I am very, very proud.
Antoine Baril
Despite my prog leanings I have never got on with Genesis. Thankfully Antoine is here to make them bearable by precis-ing them and removing Peter Gabriel’s dreadful shrieking so the splendid essence of the choons can be revealed. Bravo, Antione!
A Missile
On to music that I really love. IQ’s new album ‘Resistance’ is out and has been on constant repeat on my long commute to work every morning for the past week-and-a-bit.
Saying it’s superior in every way to Kanye’s (see yesterday’s post!) music would be a) bleeding obvious and b) damning it with faint praise. It’s a great, great album. Here’s a taster.
Kanye West
Sometimes delusional, often arrogant, always fascinating. He makes some really interesting points about today’s society and culture, and he is a lot less of a dick than the media makes out. This is well worth watching.
His music is shit though.
Jibber And Twitch
From Cardiacs’ “Some Fairytales From The Rotten Shed” DVD. What a band! They completely passed me by in my youth. I am very sad about that.
It’s Your Lifeblood
Lilibulero
Just because it’s a great tune.
