Poor Lord Viking isn’t enjoying the warm weather.

It’s been very warm lately. Wanda and Viking have excelled themselves in demonstrating cats’ crepuscular nature by sleeping all day in a variety of positions.

I am currently in the UK. I am however fortunate enough to receive small food parcels of sanity from home. Here is Lord Viking being adorable in the freshly mown grass of 15-degrees-warmer-than-here, just North of Auckland.

Lord Viking grudgingly agrees to be photographed. He doesn’t look happy about it though.

“Finally!” say the kittens.

The one with 8 legs is a juvenile Trite planiceps (Black-Headed Jumping Spider). You know who the other ones are.

I bought a new camera for the trip. It’s a Nikon Coolpix P1000. It’s a bridge camera, half-way between a DSLR and a digital compact camera. I have a DSLR and a digital compact camera already but have never been able to be bothered by all the lens nonsense of the former, nor of the limitations of the latter. So we will see how this one goes.

Takes nice cat pictures.
